The scenic course tours colonial sites and the quaint downtown before scaling the now-famous Hospital Hill on the way to the stars-and-stripes adorned finish and the US Marines. Along the way, runners pass significant landmarks dating back to the nation’s beginnings and notable neighborhoods that were home to America’s forefathers, including Presidents George Washington and James Monroe. The Marine Corps Historic Half celebrates its tenth anniversary on Sunday, May 21, 2017.  Join 8,000 runners in friendly, fabulous and fun Fredericksburg, VA, situated halfway between the capital of the Commonwealth and the nation’s capital.  The 13.1 mile course features colonial sites, a quaint downtown and the challenge of Hospital Hill.  Register before January 3, 2017 for the lowest registration fee of $65.  Additional pricing tiers: $80 between January 3-March 20, 2017 and $95 from March until the event sells out.   Processing fees apply.  Historic Half registration opens on October 19, 2016.
